Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Dental and Allied Health Research (JDAHR) follows a rigorous and transparent triage-based peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and scientific merit of published manuscripts.

Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening (open/unblinded) by the Editorial Team to assess suitability, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to journal guidelines. Based on this evaluation, manuscripts may be:

  • Proceeded to peer review

  • Returned to authors for revision

  • Rejected with clearly stated reasons

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts, preferably including one national and one international reviewer. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential throughout the review process.

Authors may suggest potential reviewers; however, all suggested reviewers are evaluated for expertise and conflicts of interest before invitation. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make the final decision on reviewer selection.

The journal reserves the right to reject or retract any manuscript if concerns regarding scientific validity, ethical misconduct, or research integrity arise either before or after publication. Details are provided in the Correction and Retraction Policy.
